What the hell happened to fall!!!!!

I have been too damn busy!!!

Ok so it is looking like fall might only last a week and then winter is going to be here GAH!!! I hate the cold.

Anywho I have been busy, busy, busy. I went to a friend of mines wedding in Phoenix which was fun because it was hot there and cold here. I of course drank to much at the reseption and therefore the flight home sucked ass. It was a little sad to be in Phoenix because the last time I was there was when my friend Thomas died in a plane crash.

Then the hunter/jumper American Royal was all last week which I rode and worked for my trainer all week. So it was getting up way to early and going to bed late, which is the worst part of horse showing. I want to be a customer again, where I can just show up and hour or two before my class and not worry about anything else. Ah those were the days... Anyway it went well and my trainer Katie hired a William Woods student to help me so I didn't have to do everything myself. She was actually good and didn't need to be shown how to do things. She is also an A-Phi so theres that, she told me stories from good ole Camp Billy Twigs and it sounds like not much has changed. Lampe is still crazy and the freshman are affraid of Linda. I was happy to here that Eclipse was still at school (Mooney was not), and Jack was retired.

As always there was drama at the Royal but this time it centered around me and the horse that I was riding!!! Gah!! So I had that added pressure on top of the crazy nerves I had. The reason for the drama was because I was riding Thomas's horse Toby and there were people who were of the opinion that the horse should be out in a pasture and not being shown. The horse is 10 or 11 and is sound. I also learned that some told my trainer that I shouldn't be the one to ride the horse, that I was not good enough. What the hell!!! The person who owns Toby doesn't want him in a pasture, she wants what is best for the horse and that is for the horse to do what he loves, jumping. When the horse doesn't want to jump anymore then he will go out to pasture. Also Toby hadn't shown in 2 plus years so that was a little nervracking. Toby was VERY good at the horse show and we even won a class so everyone can just shut up!! What was the best was that the class that I won Thomas's mom had come down to watch me ride Toby. I came out ot the ring after winning the class and everyone was in tears, so of course I started crying because that always happens when someone is crying near me.

If anyone wants to see pics of me on Toby you can see them here  http://www.photostockplus.com/home.php?user_id=11982&tmpl=31&event=201019&action=viewphoto&album_id=236130&rank=82&pcount=45  i am the next three pics as well.

I am off to bed

It is going to be a looong season

Why can't I live in a town with a good football team!!!!!!! The Chiefs as they have been for the past couple of seasons SUCK ASS!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't know what is going on, no one does. The head coach needs to have is ass kicked out the door along with the general manager. We also need a quaterback who will stay healthy. I actually think I can hear the angry mob marching by my window, yes there is the orange glow of their tourches. Even the local media is getting fed up, it really isn't pretty. Well at least I have MU football. go MIZZOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! National champs this year!!! booyeah.

Yay my trainer is back teaching after having her baby!! Thank God, now I can really start getting ready for the Royal!! It is up in the air who i might show, it will be either Jeannie (I REALLY want to show her) or Ryan (who is growing on my and brave). I know Jeannie better than I know Ryan and my record at the Royal is pretty good with Jeannie, but Ryan is supposed to be pretty scopey as well. Maybe I can show both, or I would be happy with showing Ryan all week and then getting to show him and Jeannie in the classic on Sat. That would be pretty sweet. Also there is a very small chance that Toby (Thomas who died 2 years ago owned this horse) might go down to the Royal and I might get to show him. That would be fun to show him but I know I will get some dirty looks and a lot of talking behind my back will happen which is not cool or fun. Oh well whatever they can get over it.

In closing let me just say this... If it wasn't for the Daily Show I don't think I would be a sane person.

She LIVES!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had lots of money, then I could have gone to see the closing performance of RENT

I have been so busy the last couple of weeks that I am ready for sept. to be over!!!! My trainer had a baby the end of Aug. so she is taking all of Sept. off and the person who was helping me ride horses this summer went back down to Florida which means I have to ride all the horses now. This is not really that bad but when you have a full time job plus 5 to 7 horses to ride everyday it gets stressful. Now I try to break it up and ride just 3 or 4 horses a day and switch days of which barn I go to (I have horses to ride at 3 different barns). And no I am not getting paid for this, every none horse person I tell this to thinks I am crazy. I am NOT ready to walk down the path of professinal yet and if I do and it really blows then I can't show for a year so no thank you. I will say that this week has been easier because it has pretty much been raining since Wed. and 3 of the horses I have to ride I can only ride outside because there is no indoor and I will not ride in the rain. I am not really complaining, it is nice to have all these horses to ride but I sometimes feel a little taken advantage of. Like everyone is "Oh Kelly will do it call her", which is nice but I don't think they think of the fact that I have a full time job and would like to have a life outside of work and the barn. So I think once my trainer gets back into riding full time and after the Royal I will limit the number of days I go out to the barn. \

Oh and speaking of rain I am really done with it. It rained ALL day today, I think there was about a 20 min. break but that is was about it and it is supposed to rain all day Sat. and maybe Sun. GAH I am done with the rain. I feel waterlogged just sitting here in my house. But then maybe I can go out tomorrow and get some fun pictures of all the flooding that is happening.

I am off to bed so I can go sloshing out to the barn in the am.

Sleep deprivation and the Olympics...

So I have been watching the Olympics every night since opening ceremonies, till the bitter end and some nights that is pretty late. But damn it they only come around every 4 years so I can survive. And how exciting have they been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael Phelps winning 8 gold medals!! Nastia winning the women's all-round gold!! Dana Torres getting 3 silver medals. And the best part of all (so far)......................

THE US SHOW JUMPING TEAM GETTING THE TEAM GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! booyeah!!! It was a VERY exciting final, I was on the edge of my seat screaming at the TV, it came down to a jump off between the US and Canada. If you didn't see it and want to it is online at http://www.nbcolympics.com/equestrian/index.html . The individual final is thurs. on nbc and the americans are looking good to get a medal there as well.

I still have the diving to watch too, God I love the Olympics!!!!

I other news my 10 year high school reunion is this sat. which I find highly depressing. I did buy a ticket so I am going to go so I hope it doesn't completely suck. God I am getting old...

Well I am off to bed seeing as this will be one of the first nights I will be in bed before midnight

I am still here!

So the parents have been out of town for the past week so that means I have been at their house babysitting the dog. Yay for having my parent's house all to myself, I get to sit and veg. in front of my dads big hd flat screen with surround sound and everything! I am going to have my own movie night fri. with the blueray. I even brought my Wii with me because it is so much more fun to play on the big screen. Then it is back home to my little tv, I get a little spoiled over here at the parents. But the does not make me want to move back in!!

I have been riding, riding, riding and working, working, working and that is about it. Though 2 of my favorite horses were out of comission for the past week so that sucked ass. One is back in pretty much full work and the other just got his hocks and coffin joints injected and he can be ridden again on Sat. Yay for sound ponies! In other horse news this women who used to ride with my trainer and I still ride some of her horses when she needs me (which is more often then necessary) is in the process of buying yet another horse. She already owns 3 (well one is her husbands but he never rides that much and the horse is pretty lame and should be retired) and is currently leasing 1 so this horse will make 5. GAH I wish I had that kind of money, I have not yet seen this horse but it is a Hanovarian that was imported from Russia so go figure.

I have also been a movie going machine as of late I have seen Mamma Mia!, which I highly enjoyed and would want to see again (maybe this weekend...) I am also addicted to the sound track. I saw The Dark Knight which was AWSOME!!!!!!!! Christian Bale once again blew me away and of course Heath Ledger was fabulous. I think I am going to see it again this weekend. And tonight I think I am going to see the midnight showing of the X-Files movie (big suprise there). I am sooooooooo excited for that one, I bought my ticket but there is a slight chance that i might just wait and see it tomorrow. Oh who am I kidding I am going to go see it tonight because I am a huge geek when it comes to the X-Files.

Till next time...
